Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse • Day Shift
Job Description:
We're seeking a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to deliver high•quality care to our obstetrical patients, from antepartum to postpartum, in accordance with our unit's standards.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and document fetal tracing.
• Provide comprehensive care during labor stages.
• Attend to newborns at birth.
• Oversee preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.
• Handle patient admission and discharge.
• Educate patients/families on labor and delivery.
Qualifications:
• Accredited nursing degree.
• Breastfeeding and Lactation training within 6 months of hire.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• ACLS, RNC•OB, RNC•EFM, and STABLE Program certifications.
• Two years of L&D experience.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program and Basic Fetal Monitoring certifications within 4 months of hire.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to manage stress and emotional situations.
• Frequent physical activity including walking, standing, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally assist in patient transfer up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in standard office equipment use.
