Job Title: Process Maintenance Supervisor

Job Location: Lakewood, NJ

Job Type: Full-time, permanent role

Shift: 12-hour shifts, following the Pittman Schedule, from 8pm to 8am

Experience: A minimum of 10 years in maintenance, with a background in the pharmaceutical industry and at least three years of leadership experience.

Job Overview:
The Process Maintenance Supervisor will oversee daily process maintenance activities, ensuring cost-effective methods and efficient employee management. This role involves executing maintenance activities, supervising the maintenance staff to support daily production, and driving continuous improvement for sustainable growth. The successful candidate will provide technical support to the engineering group and cross-functional teams, maintain spare parts inventory, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee maintenance of all process equipment to support production and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Troubleshoot production equipment using a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Utilize HMI and control systems for troubleshooting and resolving maintenance problems.

  • Maintain spare parts inventory.

  • Ensure compliance requirements for the process maintenance group, including change management, deviation management, and OSHA regulations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to solve process maintenance problems and improve overall maintenance performance.

  • Provide recommendations on technical procedures, techniques, and equipment performance.

  • Assist in achieving expense and capital budgets, while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and cost savings.

Communication Responsibilities:

  • Represent the department in interactions with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Develop and foster good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strengthen inter-departmental relationships at the Supervisor level.

People Management Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Process Maintenance staff are properly trained in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and equipment-specific requirements.

  • Plan and schedule work for the process maintenance group to ensure proper distribution of assignments.

  • Monitor employee performance and provide appropriate and timely recognition of their contributions.

  • Ensure adequate training and development opportunities for Process Maintenance employees.

  • Provide guidance regarding hiring, training, promotions, and disciplinary issues for technical personnel.

  • Comply with all safety, environmental, and quality practices and procedures as outlined in organizational/departmental guidelines and SOPs as well as applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the maintenance field, including at least 3 years’ experience leading a Maintenance group.

  • Experience with process equipment filling and packaging in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
