**Job Title: Corrections • Registered Nurse (RN) • Days**
**Location:** Gainesville, TX
**Job Description:**
Join our team as a Corrections RN, providing vital healthcare to youth offenders. This role demands resilience and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
• Administer nursing care and conduct health assessments.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure protocol compliance.
• Document patient care accurately.
• Adapt to various facility units and locations.
• Follow facility policies strictly.
**Qualifications:**
• Active RN license in Texas or compact state.
• 2+ years RN experience, including 1 year in acute care or med•surg.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with juveniles or corrections preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
**Schedule:**
• Day shifts, 0630•1900, minimum 36 hours/week.
• Weekend and holiday shifts required.
• Overtime opportunities available.
**Compliance Requirements:**
• Meet UTMB standards, including TB testing and IV certification within 30 days.
• Complete CLP modules and TJJD training before start.
**Additional Information:**
• COVID•19 vaccination required; exemptions accepted.
• Orientation includes non•billable training.
