Job description
- Just basic hearts, no valves. Doesn't need to be CV trained, just a doc who's comfortable doing hearts.
- Types of POS (OR/endo/OB etc.): gen OR, endo, EP, IR, basic cardiac cases
- Facility level/type (level 1 trauma, community hosp, etc.): Community hospital
- # of MDs daily: 2
- # of CRNAs daily: 4
- Practice setting (medical direction/supervised/autonomous etc.): all of the above, varies depending how busy and time of day
- Types of cases: gen surg, ortho, gi, ep, ent, cardiac, IR – 14% is cardiac
- Average # of cases for the team daily: varies
- Call (pager or inhouse, frequency, how often/% called in, post call day off etc.): Q4 home call; post call off
- Schedule/shift types: non call doc 7-3, call doc 7- finishes out the day then off post call, 1 MD does just CV 7-3.
- Weekends/holidays etc.?: split between the 4 docs
- Great relationship with the entire OR and anesthesia team. Home call with post call off, no trauma or OB. Great suburban town with tons of things to go for families but also big city aspects as well. Cost of living much lower than east or west coast. Great public and private schools for kids. Get most places in the city within 30 minutes
