Job description

Title: Laboratory Systems Supervisor

Status: Full-time direct hire

Location: Onsite Monday-Friday

Compensation: $110,000 to $115,000 annual salary

 

The laboratory systems manager is responsible for creating and reviewing business processes, identifying and addressing operational functionality of the laboratory systems. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency workflows within the corporate environment. Overall responsibility for the design, implementation, and care of all the various databases within all laboratory systems. This candidate will be responsible for all day-to-day support of laboratory systems.

 

  • Provide IT Help Desk solutions where necessary for laboratory systems.
  • Manage all updates to the laboratory systems and write the functional specifications for all future enhancements to the system.
  • Act as liaison between the company and all laboratory vendors; issue escalation, updates, and upgrades.
  • Keep a detailed track of all code updates and keep the test and production environments in sync.
  • Perform other IT duties that may be assigned over time, to assist in the possible maintenance of other lab systems.
  • Manage laboratory systems, user management, database management, issue resolution, system setup and backup, user training, and other related system activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all new features and functions within the laboratory systems.
  • Prepare and maintain IT SOPs for laboratory systems for site.
  • Develop and define technical solutions to business problems, analyzing and documenting specifics.
  • SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) and Crystal Reports coding required for backend data analysis.
  • Initiate and write Trackwise change controls when applicable for changes to the laboratory systems.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and at least 5 years of experience within an IT role within a lab.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint and Project.
  • Strong understanding of the integration of laboratory systems with ERP-LN
  • LabWare administration training
