Job Title: Accounting Manager
Location: 316 W 12th Street, Austin, TX 78701 (Reports to Austin, TX office. May work from home 100% remotely and/or telecommute 5 days per week)

Duties:            
Leading the Accounting Department in day-to-day accounting operations; plan and direct the Month End Close process, ensure compliance with reporting requirements, and support business decisions; demonstrate a solid understanding of accounting and finance, tax and auditing, and account reconciliations, while providing supporting analysis and reporting for our Executive Leadership team.

Work cross- functionally and be adaptable in order to support a dynamic and growing business; plan and direct the Accounting team in day-to-day activities, projects, and postings; establish and maintain relationships with other departments leads to develop strategies and provide assistance; establish and maintain relationships with banks, insurance, and other external contacts to facilitate financial activities; manage cash flow and cash forecasting for day to day operations; authorize requests for disbursements as per company policies and procedures; manage and direct Month End Close process including but not limited to the following: detailed General Ledger review, review basic account reconciliations, review and assist with complex account reconciliations, review and analyze margin reports for accuracy and trends, and present the analysis with recommendations to Senior Leadership team based on results, review financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, and consolidated financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness, complete variance analysis to budgets, complete monthly, quarterly, and annual ?nancial reports for external stakeholders, resolve complex accounting issues as they arise, ensure proper recording and reporting of all ?nancial transactions; establish and ensure company policies, internal controls, and accounting policies are adhered to, and make recommendations to Finance Director for changes as needed; review all accounting processes to ensure they all align with current ?nancial legislation; manage department budgets process; consolidate and analyze data, and generate reports on ?nancial trends and variances about the ?nancial health of the company; manage the compilation of information for year-end audit; manage the compilation of information for annual tax returns; continuously review systems, processes, and procedures and make recommendations for improvements; implement new policies/procedures and train team as necessary; manage team  hiring, headcount forecasting, team performance evaluations, recommendations for promotions and dismissals, and new hire training program; perform complex account reconciliations; ensure various business taxes are filed and paid on time; manage and direct internal audit process to ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial records; and lead year end audits to ensure timely and accurate audits are completed.


Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration plus three (3) years of experience working within a finance department, including: staffing and/or recruiting for both temporary and permanent roles; processing end-to-end accounting cycle; preparing gross profit reports; supporting audit requests; multi-location/multi-entity, international payroll, foreign currency and international accounting; conducting year-end audits and annual tax returns; and using knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practice standards, laws and regulations; Business Central System and Bullhorn.
