Job Title: Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) - Correctional Health - Night Shift
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to join our client's team in a correctional health setting. This role is a local travel position, requiring a commitment of 20 weeks, with 40 hours per week. The shift hours are from 2200-0630.
Responsibilities:
- Providing psychiatric care to adult inmates
- Interacting frequently with law enforcement
- Adhering to patient ratios within the guidelines of CA law
Requirements:
- Active CA Licensed Psychiatric Technician
- BLS, Fire Card, and MAB/CPI Certification
- Two years of LPT experience
- Comfortable working in a locked forensic environment
- COVID vaccination and booster (if eligible)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with incarcerated adults
- Travel experience
This position is based in Los Angeles, California, and may require the candidate to float between our client's locations. The successful candidate will be required to complete Live Scans onsite.
Our client's facility uses the Cerner EMR system and provides care in various case types including Adult Court Behavioral Services, Psych, Correctional, and Outpatient programs.
