Position Summary:

We are seeking a Workday Financials Leader to join a fast-growing startup Managed Services Provider (MSP) and lead Workday Financials implementations for its clients. This individual will partner with client business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable Workday Financials solutions while helping organizations maximize the value of their investment.

As an early leader in a growing practice, you’ll shape delivery methodology, mentor junior consultants, and serve as the senior point of contact across client engagements. Whether leading new implementations, optimization projects, or long-term post-production support, you’ll play a key role in delivering successful Workday Financials outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end Workday Financials implementations for clients, from discovery and design through configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
• Configure, optimize, and support Workday Financials solutions (GL, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking & Settlement, Business Assets, Expenses, Procurement, and Financial Reporting) to meet client business and operational needs.
• Partner with client Finance and Accounting stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend scalable Workday solutions.
• Analyze client business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through system enhancements.
• Oversee system testing, configuration validation, and deployment activities across engagements.
• Troubleshoot functional issues and provide ongoing managed services and production support to clients.
• Maintain system documentation, reporting, and process improvements while promoting Workday best practices.
• Help build and scale the Financials practice, including delivery standards, accelerators, and mentorship of junior team members.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Workday Financials certification (additional certifications such as Financials Core, Reporting, or related modules strongly preferred).
• Proven experience leading multiple full-lifecycle Workday Financials implementations, ideally within a consulting, partner, or MSP environment.
• Strong functional knowledge across the Workday Financials suite and its integration points with HCM and third-party systems.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills, with the ability to present to senior finance stakeholders and translate business needs into system design.
• Comfort operating in a startup environment: hands-on, adaptable, and able to build structure where none exists yet.
