Vendor Oversight Manager (Contract)
Position Summary
The Vendor Oversight Manager Contractor is responsible for developing and executing vendor governance and oversight strategies within Clinical Development Operations, taking into account vendor performance and business risk. This individual will interact with both internal stakeholders and external vendors and play a critical role in ensuring effective vendor oversight and compliance with applicable global regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In partnership with internal stakeholders, develop and implement a Vendor Governance Oversight program within Clinical Development Operations and manage associated processes

Provide monthly and quarterly reporting on vendor performance metrics and distribute updates to appropriate stakeholders

Ensure vendor compliance and performance meet established standards and partner with vendors and internal stakeholders on mitigation activities when necessary

Monitor vendor performance and confirm contractual obligations are met

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure vendor relationships align with business objectives

Oversee vendor selection, due diligence activities, and ongoing vendor relationship management

Develop materials and frameworks for vendor evaluation during contracting and annual reviews

Provide oversight for financial tracking and reconciliation activities as needed

Develop and oversee stakeholder satisfaction survey processes related to vendor performance

Support vendor oversight during audits and compliance reviews

Requirements
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
Experience
-
Strong preference for candidates able to work primarily onsite, with an expectation of at least four days per week in the office

Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs

Minimum of 2 years of experience within a biotechnology or pharmaceutical organization; startup experience is a plus

Minimum of 5+ years of clinical research experience, including vendor oversight or vendor management responsibilities

Prior management experience required

Solid understanding of the drug development process, ICH guidelines/GCP, clinical trial operations, SOP implementation, and medical terminology

Self-motivated with the ability to motivate and collaborate with others

Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills with excellent written and verbal communication

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
