MedSurg – Registered Nurse – Nights

**Job Title: Medical*Surgical Registered Nurse * Nights**

**Location:** Cleveland, OH

**Contract Duration:** 26 or 52 weeks
**Hours:** 36 per week
**Shift:** Nights (7:30 PM * 8:00 AM)
**Floating:** Within specialty
**On Call:** None
**Holidays:** Required

**Certifications:**
* BLS and CPR (American Heart Association)

**License:**
* Current Ohio RN license or NLC multi*state license

**Experience:**
* 2+ years in medical*surgical nursing (last 3 years)

**Key Responsibilities:**
* Patient assessments and symptom management
* Medication and IV administration
* Telemetry and cardiac monitoring
* Admissions, discharges, and transfers
* Interdisciplinary team coordination
* Electronic medical record documentation
* Emergency response and central line care
* Heparin drips and coagulation management
* Care for tubes, catheters, and ostomies
* Wound care and vacuum therapy
* Pain management and blood product administration
* Support for oncology, rehab, and neurological care
* Monitor sepsis, respiratory, and cardiac conditions
* Quality improvement participation

**Qualifications:**
* Graduate from ACEN or CCNE accredited school
* Proficient in English
* Competent in electronic health records
* Completion of VA mandatory training and credentialing
