Workday Adaptive Planning Senior Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a Workday Adaptive Planning Senior Manager to support our client, a leading manufacturer and distributor headquartered in Salt Lake City. This individual will lead the strategy, design, and delivery of Adaptive Planning solutions, partnering with finance, operations, and technology stakeholders to help the organization maximize the value of its Workday investment.

Whether driving new implementations, optimization projects, or long-term system enhancements, you’ll take ownership of the planning roadmap and play a leadership role in delivering successful budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the configuration, optimization, and ongoing support of Workday Adaptive Planning solutions across financial and operational planning functions.
• Partner with FP&A, operations, supply chain, and executive stakeholders to gather requirements and design scalable planning, budgeting, and forecasting solutions.
• Build and enhance planning models suited to a manufacturing and distribution environment, including demand planning, cost of goods sold, inventory, headcount, and capital planning.
• Align Adaptive Planning capabilities with sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes to improve forecast accuracy and decision-making.
• Analyze existing planning and forecasting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and cycle times through system enhancements.
• Oversee system testing, configuration validation, integrations, and deployment activities.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to analysts and administrators supporting the Adaptive Planning environment.
• Troubleshoot functional issues and provide ongoing production support to finance and operations users.
• Maintain system documentation, reporting, and dashboards while promoting Adaptive Planning best practices across the organization.
