Job Title: Vice President, Clinical Development - Immunology

Position Summary: We are seeking a Vice President, Clinical Development – Immunology, to lead and oversee the execution of early-phase immunology clinical programs across our portfolio companies. The role requires a physician-scientist with deep expertise in early-stage drug development, a track record of running clinical trials, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams and external partners. The successful candidate will be a key driver of our immunology portfolio strategy, ensuring timely, compliant, and high-quality execution of clinical studies.
Responsibilities:
· Lead execution of Phase 1 and Phase 2 clinical trials within assigned portfolio companies.
· Collaborate with the CSO, Immunology, and Clinical Operations leadership to design and implement clinical development plans aligned with overall product strategy.
· Oversee safety monitoring, adverse event assessment, and go/no-go decisions for clinical programs.
· Provide ongoing medical monitoring for active trials, including review of protocol deviations and screening failures.
· Serve as primary medical liaison for investigators and CRO partners, offering medical guidance and training site staff on protocol requirements.
· Maintain deep scientific knowledge of disease pathways by reviewing literature, attending medical congresses, and engaging with KOLs.
· Drive cross-functional collaboration across regulatory, operations, and external partners to ensure program milestones are achieved.
Required Qualifications:
· MD or MD/PhD with at least 6 years of industry experience in clinical development at a pharmaceutical or biotech company.
· Demonstrated expertise in early-stage development (pre-IND, IND, Phase 1 and Phase 2).
· Proven ability to independently run clinical programs with minimal oversight.
· Strong background in immunology clinical programs (highly preferred).
· Extensive knowledge of clinical trial design, methodology, regulatory requirements, and compliance.
· Leadership experience in a matrixed environment with strong vendor management capabilities.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Prior experience advancing novel immunology therapeutics through early proof-of-concept.
· Established relationships with leading immunology investigators and KOLs.
· Experience in translational and biomarker-driven trial design.
Compensation: $395,000 – $440,000 base salary, plus target bonus, equity participation, and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k). Final package will be determined based on experience, skills, and education.
